PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) is making train travel even safer and more comfortable for female passengers with the introduction of the Female Seat Map, a brand-new feature in the Access by KAI app. This innovation allows women to select seats near other female passengers, providing an added sense of security—especially for those traveling alone.

How the Female Seat Map Works
Navigating the Female Seat Map is simple. The app now displays seat selections in different colors:

• White – Available seats
• Blue – Seats selected by the user
• Pink – Seats already booked by female passengers
• Gray – Seats occupied by male passengers

By choosing a seat marked in pink, women can ensure they are seated next to fellow female travelers, creating a more comfortable and stress-free journey.

Who Can Use This Feature?
To access the Female Seat Map, passengers must meet the following criteria:

• Book an intercity train ticket (this feature is not available for local trains yet)
• Use the Access by KAI app or purchase tickets through KAI station counters (RTS-POS)
• Have a registered account with gender set as female

If a booking includes male passengers, the gender-based seat display will not be available.

While the Female Seat Map does not guarantee that all women will always sit next to another female passenger—due to possible schedule changes, cancellations, or last-minute seat adjustments—it still significantly improves comfort and peace of mind.
