SPECTACULAR! 2022 JAKARTA E-PRIX WAS SUCCESSFULLY HELD AT FORMULA E CIRCUIT JAKARTA

DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan claimed that the number of spectators for Formula E reached 60,000 people.

The Jakarta Formula E event, which was held at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC), Ancol, North Jakarta, Saturday (6/4), went successfully. DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan claimed that the number of spectators for Formula E reached 60,000 people. 

He expressed his gratitude to the many figures who attended to enliven this electric car racing event. 

"Formula-E is a celebration of shared festivities, not only for Jakarta, but also for Indonesia and even the world. The excitement that unites, not distances. Sport is always able to be a unifier across borders," wrote Anies through his official Instagram account.

In the first ever Jakarta Formula E electric car racing event, Mitch Evans from the Jaguar TCS Racing team became the first winner. Then followed by Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Techeetah) as the second winner and Edoardo Mortara (ROKiT Venturi Racing) as the third winner. 

The crowd applauded loudly as the racers made their way onto the Podium. The process of handing over the trophy was carried out by President Jokowi, who handed over the trophy to the first winner, Mitch Evans. Anies Baswedan presented the trophy to the Director of Jaguar TCS Racing, James Barclay. Meanwhile, Chairman of the MPR Bambang Soesatyo and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Formula E Jakarta Ahmad Sahroni handed trophies to other racers on the podium.

President Jokowi also appreciated the success of the Formula E Jakarta event. According to him, electric car racing is in line with Indonesia's mission to build a domestic electric vehicle industry.

"I hope that in the future there will be more racing competitions similar to Formula E," wrote President Jokowi on his official Instagram account.
