Autograph Collection Hotels, a distinguished member of Marriott Bonvoy's extensive global portfolio, proudly announces its inaugural presence in Hungary with the grand opening of Dorothea Hotel, Budapest, Autograph Collection. Nestled in the heart of Budapest's iconic District V, this new hotel, spanning three historic buildings, pays homage to the city's golden age while seamlessly blending the past with the present.

The hotel's namesake, Archduchess Dorothea, a central figure in the 1800s known for her significant contributions to the city's cultural and economic development alongside Palatine Joseph, sets the stage for an extraordinary experience. Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, Vice President of Premium and Select Brands for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Marriott International, expressed excitement, stating, "Dorothea Hotel, Budapest, Autograph Collection is a shining example, reflecting the rich history of Budapest through a refined and sophisticated lens."

Designed by renowned Italian architect and designer Piero Lissoni, Dorothea Hotel is a harmonious blend of historical architecture and modern design. The three distinct buildings, each from a different era, have been meticulously preserved by local historic preservation experts, maintaining key elements such as a remarkable heritage staircase.

Upon entering the hotel, guests are welcomed by a breathtaking ornate ceiling adorned with portraits by Hungarian photographer Zoltán Tombor. The lobby features a stunning long drop glass chandelier and a view of the heritage staircase against a backdrop of intricate blue Zsolnay tiles.

Dorothea Hotel boasts 216 guestrooms and suites, divided into contemporary and heritage categories. The contemporary rooms feature a soft beige palette with vibrant orange accents, complemented by dark wood flooring and peacock blue curtains. Heritage rooms, located in the oldest Weber building, showcase neo-renaissance-styled windows, elegant light grey tones, and four-poster canopy beds adorned with subtle floral embroidery inspired by local folk motifs.

The crown jewel of the hotel is the Presidential Suite, offering a serene retreat with timeless décor, a walk-in closet, sauna, and a spacious terrace with a jacuzzi and panoramic city views.

The inner courtyard is home to Pavilon Restaurant & Bar, a lush garden oasis helmed by Chef Carmine di Luggo, offering farm-to-table dishes in a natural setting. The hotel's unique experience, "The Mark," includes a succulent herb wall within Pavilon, paying tribute to Palatine Joseph's botanical interests and influencing cocktails and dishes throughout the hotel's dining venues.

Anton's Bar & Deli on the upper floor transforms from an artisanal coffee experience by day to a dynamic bar and community space by night. The hotel plans two additional restaurant openings in 2024, with BiBo, an Andalusian Brasserie, and Alelí, an authentic Italian osteria, both promising unique culinary experiences.

For wellness enthusiasts, the Spa offers a comprehensive 650-square-meter space featuring a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and fitness center. Guests can indulge in holistic body treatments using Babor Cosmetics in the spa's three treatment rooms, including a couple's room.

Dorothea Hotel, Budapest, Autograph Collection, invites guests to embark on a journey through Budapest's rich history while enjoying the comforts of modern luxury. For reservations and additional details, please visit Dorothea Hotel's official website.
