INDIGO SUPPORTS JCI INDONESIA IN TAKING INDONESIAN STARTUPS GLOBAL THROUGH CREATIVE YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR EVENT
Fostering Global Competitiveness: Indigo and JCI Indonesia Join Forces to Propel Indonesian Startups onto the International Stage
In a bid to propel Indonesian startups onto the global stage, Indigo, the startup incubator and accelerator program owned by PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (Telkom), has thrown its weight behind the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Indonesia in hosting the Creative Young Entrepreneur (CYE) event. The CYE event serves as a platform for pitching business startups with social impact.
CYE, a startup competition featuring a pitch battle concept, invites entrepreneurs to present their business ideas within a concise 5-minute window before facing evaluation by a panel of judges comprising professionals and international business moguls. This competition unfolds on an international scale with three tiers: CYE National, CYE Regional (Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, etc.), culminating in the final stage, CYE International, which brings together the top three startups from each regional segment.
"Empowering the emergence of successful startups involves providing a platform for them to showcase their innovative work. We support the organization of CYE by JCI Indonesia because of our shared vision and how CYE offers startups the opportunity to present their innovations and engage in discussions to receive feedback for startup development," stated Patricia Eugene Gaspersz, Senior Manager Program at Indigo.
Since its establishment in 2013, the Indigo program (https://indigo.id/) has recognized thousands of brilliant ideas from young Indonesians, with over 200 of them receiving funding and mentoring support to become successful startups, making a positive impact on Indonesia. Indigo's support for CYE underscores its appreciation for dozens of startups, paving the way for their further development.
"Creative Young Entrepreneur (CYE) is more than just a startup competition. CYE is about how we launch brilliant startups from Indonesia to compete with startups from various countries and potentially emerge as champions at the international CYE level," remarked Dadang Kurnia, Program Director of CYE.
Indigo's backing of the Creative Young Entrepreneur (CYE) event is just one of many collaborations with other institutions, including governments, academia, and other startup communities. This support underscores Indigo's commitment to nurturing the startup ecosystem and providing tangible avenues for realizing the vision of every startup founder in Indonesia.
