POLAND FESTIVAL 2024: CONNECTING BALI, SURABAYA, AND JAKARTA THROUGH CULTURE AND INNOVATION
Uniting Two Nations Through Culture, Innovation, and Strategic Collaboration
Poland Festival 2024 has returned to Indonesia, bringing an array of dynamic programs designed to strengthen the cultural and economic bonds between Poland and Indonesia. This year’s festival, the largest Polish cultural and trade showcase in Southeast Asia, spans three major cities—Bali, Surabaya, and Jakarta. The event introduces cutting-edge innovations, fosters strategic partnerships, and celebrates the long-standing friendship between the two nations, ahead of Poland’s European Union presidency in 2025 and the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic ties.
A Celebration in Bali: Polish Products Meet Island Charm
The festival kicked off in Bali at the Grand Lucky Superstore in Sanur and Udayana, running from November 2 to 15, 2024. Here, the Polish Pavilion offered visitors a curated experience of Poland’s finest, featuring fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), technological advancements, and cultural highlights. Balinese attendees explored Polish craftsmanship and innovation while enjoying special promotions from prominent Polish brands.
Surabaya Hosts Polish Excellence in Technology and Trade
In Surabaya, the festival was held at Hokky Citraland, Pakuwon City, and Graha Family during the same timeframe. The exhibitions showcased a range of Polish products, including food, beverages, and advanced technologies. Surabaya’s programs aimed to spark interest in potential partnerships, especially in strategic sectors such as green development, sustainable agriculture, and industrial innovation.
Jakarta: The Final Stop for Collaboration and Connection
Jakarta served as the grand finale of Poland Festival 2024, with events running from November 4 to 17, 2024, across several venues, including Grand Lucky Superstore SCBD, Radio Dalam, BSD, and Pantai Indah Kapuk. According to Reni Ekowati, Store Manager of Grand Lucky SCBD, the Jakarta exhibitions received an overwhelmingly positive response:
“This marks our fifth time hosting the Poland Festival, and every year we see a boost in sales and visitor enthusiasm. The event has become a favorite for showcasing Polish innovation and culture.”
A Platform for Future Partnerships
Beyond the exhibitions, Poland Festival 2024 serves as a pivotal driver for future collaborations between Poland and Indonesia. By spotlighting shared opportunities in green technology, creative industries, sustainable transportation, and electromobility, the festival paves the way for deeper engagement between the two nations.
With Poland set to assume the EU presidency in 2025 and the two countries preparing to celebrate 70 years of diplomatic relations, the festival is a springboard for meaningful dialogue and sustainable partnerships. Poland Festival 2024 reinforces the enduring friendship between Poland and Indonesia while setting the stage for shared prosperity and innovation.
