Everyday devices like smartphones and PCs are set to undergo a significant transformation in the future, driven by the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. Renowned billionaire Bill Gates revealed that in the coming years, AI will be accessed directly through internet-connected HP and PC devices.

"With this progress, HP and PC will no longer be just tools for browsing or office work. They will become direct gateways to the world of AI," Gates stated, as quoted by CNN on Monday (1/22/2024).

Gates added that the functions of everyday devices like HP will expand further with the presence of AI. As an example, the latest Samsung series, Galaxy S24, has embraced AI technology more comprehensively through the Galaxy AI feature.

While the advancement of AI brings the potential for revolution in various sectors, concerns about its impact on employment have also surfaced. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) in its latest report mentioned that up to 40% of jobs might be affected by AI technology.

However, Gates remains optimistic that this new technology will also create new opportunities, as seen in the era of agricultural productivity in the early 20th century. "Back then, people were afraid of change, but many new things and jobs were created. Today, we are better equipped to manage its impact," Gates explained.

One sector predicted to undergo significant transformation due to the presence of AI is healthcare and education. Gates even hopes that his foundation, the Gates Foundation, can play an active role in developing this technology, particularly through various initiatives aimed at reducing the gap between the populations of poor and wealthy countries.

"Through technological innovation, we hope to ensure that the gap between poor and wealthy nations continues to narrow," said the Microsoft founder.
