Several new exciting anime series have finally been announced and fans are excited to see their favourite manga being animated for the first time on the television screen. Though there will be more this year, here are three upcoming anime that are worth watching.

Chainsaw Man

Chainsaw Man is a manga written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto for the Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. An anime adaptation was announced on December 14th, 2020 produced by MAPPA studio.

The story starts with Denji, a poor boy who worked for the yakuza. He later became the chainsaw devil after an unexpected event happened to him and his pet devil Pochita. He was then discovered by an official devil hunter named Makima, who offered him a job in the Public Safety Bureau. Denji instantly falls in love with Makima. Afterwards, all he wants is to live a simple, happy life with a girl he likes.

The cast and the date of the premiere are still unknown. However, MAPPA has dropped its first trailer on June 27, 2021.

Spy X Family

Premiering on April 9th, 2022, Spy X Family is a fun, action, and comedy anime about different people in an arranged family with each having different goals. Illustrated by Tatsuya Endo, this anime is produced by TOHO animation with Wit Studio and CloverWorks.

On the surface, the Forgers seem to be a typical loving family. But not everything is as it appears.  The father, Loid Forger, also known as Twilight, is a spy. Meanwhile, Mother Yor Forger is a professional assassin known as Thorn Princess, and the daughter, Anya Forger, is an esper who can read people’s minds. Each of them tries to complete their missions, without even knowing each other’s secret identities.

Loid Forger is voiced by Takuya Eguchi, while Saori Hayami plays Yor Forger and Atsumi Tanezaki narrates Anya Forger. The trailers for the anime can be viewed on Muse Indonesia Official YouTube account or Crunchyroll YouTube channel.

Love All Play

Set to premiere on April 2, 2022, Love All Play is a badminton sports anime featuring Natsuki Hanae, Yohei Azakami, Kensho Ono, and Makoto Furukawa. The novel series is written by Asami Koseki with Nippon Animation and OLM as animators.

After a push given by his elder sister, Ryou Mizushima enrolls in the prestigious Yokohama Minato High School. There, he aims to win the inter-high tournament with his teammates and coach.
