NESPRESSO COLLABORATED WITH LOCAL COFFEE FARMERS IN NICARAGUA
Collaboration for the Release of Master Origin Nicaragua La Cumplida Refinada
Nespresso just added Master Origin Nicaragua La Cumplida Refinada to their Master Origins series. They used the seasonal coffee from Nicaragua that used fermented techniques.
With that, Nespresso collaborated with coffee farmers back in Nicaragua to produce a unique coffee taste. Currently, they have 20 acres of land for coffee farming in La Cumplida. The project helped local farmers, gained a lot of interest from local investors, and also created an employment field for the locals.
Why is this coffee so unique and rare? Due to the climate in Nicaragua, the coffee farmers are known for their micro lots coffee, which they planted in a limited amount. Since they used a fermented technique, the taste of coffee would be different and unique, as they bring out the true taste and aroma of coffee. The fermentation of the coffee beans started for 72 hours, before they got monitored for the next two to three weeks for the drying process. This process creates a stronger flavour towards the coffee.
The coffee from Master Origin Nicaragua La Cumplida Refinada has a candied cherry and pomegranate which is different from the other Master Origin. Now, this series is available online and in store at some Nespresso stores all around the world.
