The esteemed AA Hospitality Awards, celebrated as one of the industry's most prestigious events, concluded last night at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London with The Lanesborough being crowned Hotel of the Year. The glittering awards ceremony, hosted by beloved TV presenter Claudia Winkleman, recognized outstanding contributions in the UK's hospitality sector, from hotels and restaurants to the dedicated professionals behind these establishments.

The AA Hospitality Awards, an event spanning 15 categories, serves as a platform to honor the finest hotels, restaurants, and spas across the United Kingdom. It also pays tribute to individuals through awards like the Lifetime Achievement Award and Chefs' Chef Award.

The Lanesborough, a part of the prestigious Oetker Collection, is a prime example of traditional Regency architecture, an architectural gem in the heart of London. The Grade-1-Star listed building, originally known as Lanesborough House and dating back to 1719, overlooks Hyde Park Corner and stands adjacent to the grounds of Buckingham Palace. It commands a prestigious location, bridging Belgravia, Knightsbridge, and Mayfair. Following a comprehensive two-year renovation project helmed by the late renowned interior designer Alberto Pinto, The Lanesborough reopened in July 2015. The hotel boasts 93 rooms and suites, including the Royal Suite – London's largest suite with seven bedrooms and bathrooms, two living rooms, and a dining room. Each guestroom is attended to by a dedicated 24/7 private butler.

The Lanesborough offers dining experiences at The Lanesborough Grill, led by award-winning Chef Shay Cooper, known for serving a seasonal, modern British à la carte menu. Guests can also enjoy The Lanesborough Club & Spa, an exclusive members' club for the modern Londoner, which spans 18,000ft² (1,672m²) and offers a holistic approach to well-being. The spa provides innovative and diverse treatments in collaboration with resident experts who are leaders in their respective fields.

Stuart Geddes, Managing Director of The Lanesborough, expressed his delight at receiving the award on behalf of the hotel's team and the wider Oetker Collection Group. He highlighted the exceptional levels of guest service, reflected in their remarkable rate of returning guests and their success in the competitive British market.

Simon Numphud, Managing Director at AA Media, acknowledged the importance of recognizing individuals and establishments that consistently provide excellence to their guests and expressed the honor of shining a spotlight on them.
