SENAYAN CITY FASHION NATION 2026 HITS ITS 20TH EDITION
Senayan City Fashion Nation 20th Edition runs 18–26 Sept 2026 in Jakarta, with designer showcases, a charity pop-up, and a 20-year anniversary book.
A pop-up store on the Lower Ground floor is selling plain white shirts. Every rupiah from those sales goes to earthquake relief in East Nusa Tenggara. That's not the kind of detail you expect from a mall fashion week but it's exactly what's happening at Senayan City this September.
Fashion Nation 20th Edition: The Icon Edit runs from 18–26 September 2026 at Senayan City, Jakarta, marking two decades since the fashion program first launched. The anniversary edition brings together established designers, emerging labels, fashion institutions, and media partners across nine days of runway shows, exhibitions, and collaborations timed to Senayan City's own 20th birthday as a mall.
At a glance:
- 9 days of programming, 18–26 September 2026
- 20 copies of the anniversary coffee table book Essence & Presence gifted to VIP tenants and partners at launch
- 2014 the year Optik Seis began its Fashion Nation partnership, now heading toward its own 100th anniversary in 2027
- 100% of proceeds from IFDC's "Draft" pop-up white shirts go to earthquake-affected communities in East Nusa Tenggara

What is Fashion Nation 20th Edition?
It's Senayan City's flagship fashion program, now in its 20th year, built around a rotating cast of designer showcases rather than one single runway show. This year's theme, The Icon Edit, is meant to reflect how Indonesian fashion has shifted across generations pairing veteran names with newer studios in the same week.
The opening night on 18 September set the tone with The Era Runways, featuring Mel Ahyar Archipelago and TOTON as opening designers. Mel Ahyar's Tanö Niha collection draws from Nias Island's architecture and ceremonial dress, translated into contemporary silhouettes with a wood-toned palette and woven textures. TOTON's Tempaan Kala a continuation of its Kala line is a near-fully handmade collaboration with JEUMPA, leaning into slow, artisan techniques as a quiet rebuttal to fast fashion. Singer Anggun performed at the opening, accompanied by a solo pianist.

What else is happening besides the runway shows?
Alongside the shows, Senayan City launched Essence & Presence, a coffee table book documenting 20 years of tenants, designers, media, and collaborators. Twenty copies were gifted at launch to VIP partners, with the rest distributed in limited numbers and placed in select executive and luxury lounges. On the Ground Floor, an abstract installation called The Passage of Presence inspired by the number 20 gives mall visitors a physical, walk-through version of the same anniversary story.
The week also folds in collaborations with the Indonesian Fashion Designers Council (IFDC) through the exhibition "GAYA," and the "Draft" pop-up store, where designers partnered with Cotton USA on white shirts sold for charity.
"Twenty years is a milestone built together by so many people, stories, relationships, and collaborations," said Halina, Leasing & Marketing Communications Director at Senayan City. "This isn't just about looking back at what's been achieved, but celebrating the spirit that will carry Senayan City into its next chapter."

How much does it cost to attend?
Fashion Nation's daily showcases at Senayan City are free and open to the public no ticket purchase mentioned in official materials. Programming runs across the Ground Floor and event spaces daily between roughly 1PM and 7:30PM, with the full schedule posted on Senayan City's official channels.
