Most fans expected a mall. Instead, the photos show a concrete walkway, a stray cat, and a river at night.

What did Taeyong NCT do in Jakarta?

Taeyong NCT's Jakarta walk became a talking point after the account jkt.spot posted a six-slide Instagram carousel about it. The post says he walked across a pedestrian bridge (JPO) in Jakarta, not to Blok M or a mall. Photos are credited to @taeoxo_nct. About two days after posting, it had 17,100 likes, 216 comments and 416 reposts. The walk itself cost nothing.

The post is a fan-style recap, not an official statement. We have not verified the exact location or date. The caption says only that he chose "jalan-jalan lewat JPO," a walk along the bridge.

Why did a cat steal the whole post?

Slide one is a blurry, extreme close-up of a cat's face, whiskers and pink nose filling the frame. A small circle in the corner shows a man in a cap and headphones, taking a selfie on a white-railed bridge. The caption jokes that he met a "makhluk halus," a playful "gentle creature" that is not a ghost.

Slide two shows the cat on the concrete beside the railing. It is black and white, curled up and relaxed. In slide three, a hand reaches in to stroke its back, and the cat does not move away.

Here is the surprising part. The post's own text says the cat fell for him, not the other way round. The caption on slide five says so directly.

That line did more than any glossy photo shoot could. A stray cat is a hard audience to fake

What does the walk show about Jakarta at night?

The last two slides leave the cat behind. Slide four is captioned "POV: Taeyong menikmati udara Jakarta" (Taeyong enjoys Jakarta's air). It shows a dark river, houses stacked along the bank with laundry on the balconies, and lit towers on the skyline. Slide six reads "POV: Taeyong melihat sisi lain Jakarta" (Taeyong sees another side of Jakarta). A bright food stall glows beside the water, and the light breaks into small white ripples.

The track "Shalala" plays over the whole carousel. You can almost hear it against the traffic below.

What stands out is the contrast. The towers sit in the same frame as the riverside homes. Locals know this view, but it rarely appears in a K-pop story.

Why did this post spread so fast?

Three things helped. The caption is short and funny. The cat gives the post a clear emotional hook. And the setting feels real, not staged: a bridge people use every day, not a premium venue.

Fans also like seeing an idol in ordinary places. A JPO is free, public and familiar to millions of Jakarta commuters. That makes the post easy to share with a caption like "that's my bridge!"

For brands and local accounts, the lesson is simple. People respond to small, honest scenes. An unplanned moment with a stray cat beat any formal photo set.

What should you do before sharing it?

Check the source. The post comes from a fan and media-style account, and it does not come with official confirmation from NCT or Taeyong's management. Share it as "reported by jkt.spot" and not as confirmed news.

Also, respect the idol and the place. If you visit the same bridge, keep it safe and quiet, and do not crowd or chase anyone. The cat will thank you, too.
