If you're reading this on September 27, you still have a few hours. That's the last day of JF3 Food Festival 2026, and after 45 days of nonstop eating at La Piazza, Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading, the tents come down tonight.

JF3 Food Festival 2026 is an annual culinary event in Jakarta that ran from August 14 to September 27, 2026, at La Piazza, Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading. It combines two programs: Kampoeng Tempo Doeloe (KTD), which showcases regional Indonesian street food, and Wonderful Culinary Expo (WCE), which focused on global and premium food brands. This year's theme, "Lokarasa Nusantara," brought together more than 103 tenants and over 1,000 menu items. Entry to the grounds is free; you pay per dish, like any street food market.

What made this year's theme different ?

"Lokarasa" is a made-up word  loka means place, rasa means flavor. The organizers used it to frame every dish as carrying a story, not just a taste. That's not just marketing copy: the KTD curation team physically traveled to Bogor, Bandung, Semarang, Solo, Surabaya, and Bali to scout and taste vendors before inviting them in.

The result was a genuinely wide spread. New arrivals included Cakwe Gang Gloria from Pancoran Glodok, Lapo Naburju (Batak food from Toba), and Bakmi Kepiting Akhiong from Pontianak. They sat alongside long-running names like Gudeg Yu Djum and Nasi Goreng Kambing Kebon Sirih, which have been feeding Jakarta for years.

"Culinary heritage isn't separate from our culture and daily life," said Soegianto Nagaria, Director of Summarecon. "We want the small business owners behind these dishes to keep growing, the same way this festival has for 22 years."

How much does JF3 Food Festival 2026 cost?

Getting in is free  La Piazza is an open-air mall area, not a ticketed venue. You pay per item, with most street food dishes priced like typical Jakarta warung fare. There was also a spending challenge: spend at least Rp100,000 in the KTD area and you could walk away with a Rp50,000 voucher or another prize.

What else was happening besides eating?

The food wasn't the only draw. KTD's main stage hosted Kerispatih on August 22, Judika on September 5, and Titi DJ on September 19, alongside traditional performances like Gambang Kromong, Tari Jaipong, and Harmoni Sape on rotating dates. Live music ran Monday to Friday at 7 PM for anyone who wanted background noise with their dinner.

JF3 Food Festival has run since 2006 as part of the larger Jakarta Fashion & Food Festival. What started as a food event has become something closer to a preservation project  keeping regional recipes alive while giving small culinary businesses a shot at a bigger audience than their home city.
